Where it all Began ’73

With all the tee shirt companies out there, it can sometimes be hard to separate the truly amazing from the common place. Plus, with all the “hip-hop” brands out there, things start to look the same. A splash of graffiti here, an Afro-centric image there and you’re done. Not so with Sedgwick & Cedar. “Sedgwick & Cedar is proud to celebrate the pioneering spirit, creativity and the style where Hip Hop began in 1973 at the Sedgwick Avenue & Cedar Park intersection of The Bronx, NYC. ” The brand succeeds in representing the style of the original DJ’s, MC’s, B-boy Crews and Graffiti Artists that laid the foundation of Hip Hop at the first house parties, block parties and park jams. The designs are unique, inspired and inspiring. My absolute favorite designs are the “rare vintage flyer” tees, but in all honesty I love the entire site!!
