From the Window…. to the Wall….

I hope you had a wonderful holiday! I wasn’t going to write this week (I actually wasn’t going to go to work this week either but when you love something…)

Anyway, I’m excited about all of the designers I’ll be featuring in the New Year. I also want to wrap up 06′ with a list of my top 6 indie designers of 06′. With so many talented designers, it won’t be an easy task!

The last week of December is always a bit dreamy for me. I take a deep breath and exhale the year. I reflect.

For instance, despite the fact this site shamelessly focuses on fashion, consumerism, and “style” (whatever that is)- it also focuses on dreams.
Every designer I correspond with has poured their heart and soul into their dream. I love independent artists because they haven’t forgotten the artistic aspect of their craft. Many of them keep second or third jobs to stay afloat. They all have love and passion for what they do and you pay them no better compliment than to purchase and wear their designs. Writing this site and talking with the creative people I feature keeps me focused and grounded. I’ve been really inspired by some of the stories I’ve heard this year and am thankful to have implemented that same kind of passion into my work! Speaking of talented artists….
