There’s something so comforting about putting on that favorite sweat-shirt, t-shirt, or pair of pants. Its a safe feeling… so that even if it’s a you-against-the-world day, you feel somewhat protected. Safe Clothes, by Rebecca Turbow, captures this feeling exactly. Her line features smooth geometric designs, sturdy fabrics, and gorgeous colors, each piece meticulously hand crafted by Rebecca. Aside from the line itself, Rebecca’s story is inspiring. The 24-year-old designer studied fashion right here in Massachusetts. She moved to New York and created her signature style, wearing it out in the city. She quickly learned one of the best things about New York: if you have talent, people will notice. Acting as Safe Clothes’ designer, model, and promoter, she generated a buzz around the city which carried her brand to where it is today. There’s a place to shop on her site, but her pieces are limited and she routinely sells out of her designs!
