Nowadays its all about the cheap couture. Places like H &M and even Target offer designer names at prices even I can afford. There’s nothing especially wrong with these items… I have been known to pick up a few Isaac Mizrahi wonders myself. Seriously though… anytime you can buy an entire suit for $50 or a “designer” top for $15, you know somewhere, down the line, compromises have been made. In some cases its fabric…. rayon is substituted for silk. For me that’s usually fine because rayon in machine washable and I learned the hard way that silk isn’t… Of course there are other compromises too… the fact that both Target and Issac are profiting from that $15 shirt leads me to wonder how anyone else does… and the fact that many of the items are fashioned from synthetic materials makes me wonder about what exactly goes into that manufacturing process. Aside from thinking too much about random things, its is nice to know there are companies like Deborah Lindquist out there who are both fashionable and environmentally -conscious.

Deborah Lindquist’s eco-conscious clothing line combines environmental responsibility with a cutting-edge aesthetic.
