A t-shirt is a t-shirt is a t-shirt, right? I know we’ve been over this before. With so many t-shirt brands out there, its becoming harder and harder to distinguish oneself from the crowd. Cheeky catch phrases? Over it. (If I see one more “you looked hotter on myspace” shirt….). City inspired (Idaho? You da ho) are played out too. Being branded by your favorite company is also getting to be kind of pathetic… there’s something so…sad… about walking around like a giant billboard… its like, you’re paying the compnay to advertise their brand for free… how annoying is that?

Anyway, to truly stand out in today’s over saturated market of designer t’s, urban outfitters cheap, but sometimes questionable designs and pricey urban brands, you have to come up with something truly unique. Artistic almost.

That’s exactly what Chicago based designer Angel D’Amico of D LOVE clothing has done. This great little brand of one-of-a-kind, hand painted screen and hand screen printed designs is based on Angel’s gorgeous artwork (which can also be found on her website).

Angel has an impressive resume. On top of her unique sense of style and a wide range of skills (from drawing to painting, digital art, graphic design, playing and composing music), she is also the creator, editor, and publisher of Carpal Tunnel Online magazine, dedicated to feature independent artists from all over the world, working hard to follow their dreams.

She’s definitely one to watch!
