Count your blessings if you don’t have to wear heels to work. I have shoe racks of the torturous contraptions. The higher the heel the better your legs look… or so they say. I say, what’s the point of great legs if they’re attached to a scowl… which is most likely the facial expression I’m wearing when I’m wearing heels. Good thing there are other ways to make your feet (and legs) look beautiful. Take for instance, the hot shoe brand, String Republic. Graphic artist Stéphane Bucco (internationally renowned as Sockho), created String Republic in 2004 to illustrate what happens when graphic arts and daily life merge. Bucco’s new line of shoes is inspired by the espadrilles his grand-father used to offer him every summer when he was a kid. By combining the espadrille with thirty internationally renowned graphic artists, he has created his own unique niche in the summer shoe market. With gorgeous colors and intricate designs, these adorable shoes are sure to go with just about any summer ensemble.
