Sometimes I get site suggestions and I am shocked. I’m so used to wearing a suit everyday, that when I see gorgeous, fun, flirty clothes I sometimes don’t know what to do with myself. Take for example, Makool, a fabulous label from Oregon (must be all that fresh air). Designer Anisa Makhoul has studied fine art, sewing and print making since childhood and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Minneapolis College of Art and Design. One of my favorite aspects of design is when people combine the expected with the unexpected …like the fire-hose purse from a few posts ago, or Makool’s alphabet shorts. I’m also obsessed with her lace wrap dress (currently on sale!)
I have a few projects in the works that I will tell you more about in time.
