Smoke Signals…

So… as I’m sure you’ve noticed, I recently added the “makeup obsession” block to my side bar. Ever since that was created I’ve featured MAC cosmetics. This has been neither intentional nor planned… it just so happens that I’m actually obsessed with MAC. Not only do they make the smoothest, most non-irritating, looks-great-after-a-long-day-of-work products, they do a fantastic job of incorporating the latest trends into their limited edition lines. This means, that even if you can’t afford that $10K designer-whatever, you can maintain a current look for say… $20- $30.

Their two fall collections, Smoke Signals and Blue Storm, were literally developed backstage at the Spring runway shows. These were two major trends that their team of Senior Artists and Development team saw and have brought to life. The first, Smoke Signals, captures a trend I actually love (I don’t usually love trends)… smoky eyes and a nude lip. I never wear lipstick, when I do go out, I usually go to a nude gloss with dark shadow and full lashes– so clearly I’m loving this collection. Blue Storm is also a fun collection. Its full of smoky shades, including blue, purple, and my favorite color, gray (yes, grayish blue is my favorite color… I’m sure that doesn’t bode well in a personality profile)… anyway its a perfect mix of subtle and bold all wrapped up in one cute little package.
