If you know me, you know I’m never too far away from one of my favorite hoodies. I have several in my car, two at the office and a few dozen crammed in my closet at home. As I type now, listening to that horrifically infectious “Clumsy” song by Fergie, I’m fighting the impending cold in one of my all-time favorite grey hoodies from Naketano.
For a very creative twist on an old favorite, check out Umsteigen in NYC. Hailing from Montreal and groomed in New York City, Umsteigen designer Susanne Schubert transforms traditional clothing into playful works of wearable art. As such, all designs are limited-edition and individually hand screen printed. In other words, her designs are tres exclusive. To quote the designer, “Umsteigen defines the small-scale design-driven fashion house, designed and manufactured in NYC using local resources.” I am clearly a big fan of her hoodies, but she also has some adorable skirts and t-shirts.
If you can’t make it down to NYC, check out her online store.
I’m being a bad Bostonian. I better go check on the Sox.
