Nothing like waking up to another storm!
It’s going to take me a while to get to work today, so once again I’ll leave the intro short:
Today’s designers are the dynamic due behind Australian label, Rose and Ruby. Created in 2006 by Karah Terran-Wilson and Rebecca Reeves-Saunders, Rose and Ruby is a dreamy collection featuring classic designs made from romantic french lace and sexy silks.
From Australian Vogue:
Karah always knew her career would include the creative. After completing a degree in Fine Arts at the University of NSW (COFA), Karah went on to work in the photo department of Who Weekly magazine as well as several design studios.
Rebecca was from the other end of creative spectrum. Completing a Communications degree at The University of Technology Sydney, Rebecca worked extensively in public relations and event management managing PR campaigns for brands such as Moet & Chandon, Gucci eyewear and Paspaley Pearls.
“The key to Rose & Ruby is using the pieces as staples in your wardrobe. Of course they are perfect for special occasions but, we urge our clients to think about how else they can wear them. Mix shorter dresses with jeans and pants or wrap a gorgeous chunky leather belt around your waist to add a bit of edge and attitude,” Rebecca says.
Their dresses remind me of a hot summer day on the Vineyard… which is about as far from a blustery snowy day in Boston as you can get. Dreamy designs that spark early morning day dreams of summer’s past… you can’t be that! Enjoy!
