You can thank the fabulous Mrs. Hinman for today’s featured designer. She just ordered a gorgeous t-shirt from Rose La Biche designer Lucy last week. One click and I was hooked!

‘Rose La Biche’ (means ‘Rose The Doe’) is the creative outlet of French designer Lucy who is currently based in San Francisco.
Lucy is 33 years old, born and raised in the South of France. After living in Paris, London, Lisbon, Buenos Aires and Los Angeles, she happily settled down in the beautiful city of San Francisco where she has been living for 2 years now.

Having worked as a business executive in the “Big Corporate World” for several years, Lucy has always been amazed by how few designers focus on chic, refreshing and really unique t-shirts… you know the kind that can cheer up a boring suit while at the same class-up a simple pair of jeans. Creating this apparel line came out of Lucy’s urge for elegant yet edgy basics as a refreshing alternative to trendy look-alike /mass-produced pieces.

She creates each new design with the idea of a balance between ‘wow factor’ and ‘everyday wearable’. Creative shapes + sober color for a clean finish to wear up or down : that’s what Rose La Biche is about!

The line is handcrafted in Lucy’s home-based design studio (100% pet-free, smoke-free). Limited runs of items allow her to refresh the collection on a regular basis all year long with new designs, shapes or colors. As to handcrafting a consistent apparel line, quality & fit are her two main priorities – she works only with the highest quality cotton garments by American Apparel and makes sure to test & wash extensively every new t-shirt before adding it to the collection and producing it on a larger scale. Every single item from the collection is machine washable! Bonus!
