No 1st Amendment Issues Here!*

I am constantly amazed how little split second decisions can change the course of your entire life. I know I’ve written about it before, but I just see it all the time, especially in my line of work. A recent event in an acquaintances life got me thinking about this again… especially due to the fact that I am still in awe as to the fact that one text… one single text to a somewhat random (yes, I know I use this word a lot) person significantly altered my life for the better… leading to a series of really amazing events and a really amazing friendship that no one saw coming. Crazy!It just goes to show you that (1) nothing is certain… you know, you might be headed down one path and all of a sudden, BAM something alters it out of nowhere and (2) you should always listen to that little voice… even if what it’s saying is crazy.

Anyway, enough about moi, on to today’s brand church & state. Designed by Rachel Turk and Nathaniel Crissman, church & state is an adorable clothing line featuring charming, pretty and wearable clothes that blend clean modern design with old-fashioned elements like bias ruffles (love ‘em!), gathers and covered buttons. They’re based in Portland Oregon (Portland is like a Mecca for great independent design, so many amazing designers are based there!) and are obviously passionate about design. I loooove that Michelle Obama-yellow shirt in the middle. How cute would that be under a suit?
