A few months ago (wow, time really does fly) my friends and I went to an Ellie Fund benefit here in Boston. Kate, who always looks beyond fabulous, was wearing this amazing feather headband that I instantly wanted. Lo and behold, a few months later, the ever-fashionable Chloe wrote me from England, raving about the gorgeous feather headbands from Charm School Design. I am sure you’ve seen flutterings (no punishness intended) of this trend… and you know (or don’t know and now you know) that I love the 1920s flapper look, so I am mildly obsessed with Charm School Design. Not only does the Brooklyn based designer Alita make adorable headbands (note she has been making them since 2006, way après the trend), she has this amazing bubble necklace (middle picture) that I think I am about to order!
Phew, I sure used a lot of parentheses in this post. Nothing like a few in-sentence side notes…
Anyway, enjoy CSD!

yes the feather hair accessories are a very big trend this year. i bought a headband that had a lot of small feathers all on top of it at target last year right before they got popular. unfortunately i have misplaced it and i can not find it. but yea that bubble necklace so cool! and i really like the butterfly hair piece too! it reminds me of one of alexander mcqueens spring 2008 runway looks where he has this girls face surrounded with butterflies all around! it looked magical and mystical….
