September is my absolute least favorite month of the year for a number of reasons I won’t get into right now. In a lot of ways it’s a reality check for me…. it seems like every September something happens that puts my life in perspective. If I had the means, I would just pack up and take this month off… spend it on some secluded beach in the Bahamas or something, but alas…
To muddle through the month, I have spent a lot of time daydreaming. I have always been a big daydreamer…
Speaking of daydreams, I am loving Daydream Nation’s A/W 09′ collection.
Daydream Nation is a Fashion-Storytelling brand that has been around since 2006. It is the creation of brother-sister design-duo Jing and Kay Wong, graduates of Central Saint Martins and Royal College of Art in Theatre Design and Textile Design. Playfully quirky and ready-to-wear, their clothes are designed to tell the story of the season and are presented in visual performances during Fashion Weeks. This season’s collection is inspired by the designers’ late father’s letters from over 30 years ago. The collection is as much about remembering as it is a celebration of dreams that never fade… hmmm…. Que piensas?
On a side note I must urge you to visit Pocket Full of Paper for some great fall music. My personal favorites?
If you’re not sick of Kid Cudi yet, check out Sammy Banana’s “Make Her Say” remix and the “Floatin’ in the Sky Remix” (you have to let this one warm up a bit, but once it gets going it’s a great gym song).
If you can stand Lil Jon YEEEAH…. “Give it all you’ve got” is a fun dance song
