As I stared out the window overlooking Franklin Square, my mind started to wander . . . Boston’s dichotomic ambivalence never more apparent. Inside I was surrounded by decadence: amazing wine, great food, mi amiga del alma (did I get that right?), and a sprinkling of celebrity. However, one met glance from an unassuming source was all it took to remind me of that, as with any city, there was another world at play… it’s always a little disconcerting to be confronted by both worlds simultaneously. At the same time, the collision always leads to a richer experience.
Anyway, for those who get that somewhat esoteric rant . . .merci…
Today is not so much about fashion, but about fashionable food. Being the non-foodie amongst my friends, I have to say it takes a lot to impress me when it comes to restaurants and things of that nature. That being said, I do have my favorite spots and thought I’d share my latest favorite dining spot in Boston, Stella!
Located in the heart of Boston’s South End neighborhood, Stella offers affordable and approachable Italian cuisine in a chic environment like no other in the city. Chef/Owner Evan Deluty and Executive Chef Robin King create innovative interpretations of Italiana classics.
The menu at Stella is an exciting travel throughout Italy and its surroundings. The best ingredients of each region are brought to life using a modern approach with a continued respect for tradition.
The ambiance at Stella is energetic; the mod space is white-on-white and features oversized windows that look out onto Stella’s acclaimed “terrazzino.” Stella’s patio, which is one of Boston’s largest outdoor seating areas, is perfect for summer cocktails.
You definitley have to check it out if you’re in the city! Yum!
