I was thinking this weekend that I sure do spend a lot of time writing about “stuff.” I love beautiful, creative design. It inspires me to keep my creative spark alive. However, this weekend while sitting at the beach and listening to the sound of waves, I was reminded that the most beautiful design is in nature (kind of sad I needed a trip out of the city to be reminded of that). I couldn’t think of a single physical object (clothes, bags, jewelery, etc.) that brought me as much happiness as sitting on the beach. Not by a long shot. It made me want to spend the rest of the summer simplifying, which I have made a June 1 resolution.
Don’t worry, I’ll still write about my favorite creative designers, like KimKim Artifacts (keeping with the simplicity theme, these bags are simply beautiful!) I am just going to try to expand while retracting a bit, if that makes any sense.
