Enjoy today’s talented designer, Lindsay Weatherread! From her Bio:
Lindsay Weatherread is a native of Dallas, Texas and was always interested in fashion, but her first love was dance. Formally trained since the age of 3, she won competitions on a regional and national level. She then continued on at Oklahoma City University with a dance scholarship and was a member of the “American Spirit Touring Dance Company” and taught dance for a number of years thereafter.
Realizing that she had developed an interest in fashion design, she subsequently attended El Centro Community College for Fashion and Pattern Design. She is now honored to be a member of the El Centro College Fashion Advisory Board. While still in school for Fashion Design, she was signed on by Link Artist Resources as a fashion stylist for print and film. .
Lindsay pushes her limits as a designer who wants to perfect the draping and fabric manipulation technique, and calls her unmistakable style “Origami for Your Body.”
Lindsay also has a strong compassion for charitable causes and contributes to Leukemia Lymphoma Foundation, Center for Brain Health, DOTS terminally ill, TAPS, and other traumatic brain injury charities. Lindsay is currently the New Face and Development Director for The Campbell Agency in Dallas.
