Fashion’s Night Out is definitley the light at the end of the tunnel that is this week. Why is it always so hectic after a nice, long, relaxing weekend? I always have mixed feelings about attending fashion week events… sure it’s amazing to be there, in the thick of it… but it’s also super hectic and a logistical nightmare at times. Ah the life of a fashion blogger (which reminds me, I have tons of shows I can’t attend starting tomorrow… are there any budding writer/photographers out there in the NYC area who would be willing to snap a few pictures and write some reviews? Email me ASAP and we’ll see if we can work something out. Of course this is just occurring to me now, lol.)

Anyway, one event I’m really looking forward to is eco-fashion’s night out brought to you by The Textile Arts Center and UrbanSocialite favorite Ecouterre.com.  The theme of the night is slow fashion: fashion that takes a bit longer to design, construct, or find but takes style and environmental responsibility to a whole new level. This is may be the only event I attend.

A night of inspired design, thoughtful consumerism and of course… shopping! Local designers M2 (featured above) Titania Inglis, Mociun, Wiksten, Shabd, Tara St. James (The Sqaure Project), reMadeUSA, Odette NY,   will all be there to satisfy your urge to leave with something fabulous.
