Golden Globes

I’ll start this post with the fact that I am annoyed. Stupid Patriots just could not get their offense going tonight. Then I flipped to the Golden Globes and it was like… ugh… prom circa 1991. I have much respect for the designers represented tonight… but really? Green? Fluffly sleeves? Stop it. Thank goodness for Badgley Mischka here and here and the other looks I loved: January Jones (if you’ve got it, flaunt it!), Sofia Vergara (see January Jones), Sarah Hyland, Eva Longoria , Ann Hathaway (my personal favorite), Megan Fox (did she have work done? anyway, cool dress), and Olivia Wilde’s shoes by Christian Louboutin.

Didn’t Love: Olivia Wilde’s dress (she’s so gorgeous, but in this dress, she looks like an xmas ornament), Jayma Mays (ugh, eat a hamburger), Angie (I know everyone was loving this, but to me, the dress was “schoolmarm” … that being said, Angelina makes schoolmarm look good!), Emma Stone (shudder).

Bottom line: Red= glamorous = good. Neutral + sequins also = good. Green = bad.

  • Totally disagree! YEA JETS! Olivia Wilde was a vision in chocolate with spangles, Eva Longoria gorgeous, Angelina safe but elegant, Emma Stone and Claire Danes both elegant in coral, and Michelle Williams adorable!

    • Olivia is gorgeous, and I know all the critics love that dress, but I just wasn’t feeling it… I still think Emma Stone looked blah, but I agree that Claire’s coral was cute.
