Facebook earrings and tattoos? Twitter rings and bags? Ugh, this social media thing is waaaaay out of control. It seems like the notion of people following your every move has permeated the fashion world (and by “fashion” I mean….)with several social media inspired designs… I mean, have you seen T-Pain’s tattoo? Craziness!

I just don’t get it. All the people who work with me on this site keep telling me to get a Twitter account… so I have one… but I mean, what am I supposed to write? I never update it. I don’t personally know too many people on Twitter, so I’m not inclined to share anything of substance…. But I mean, other people really seem to take that stuff seriously. They post heartache, new loves, break-ups and gossip about their friends. I don’t think I’m old-school… just a private person when it comes to that sort of thing.

I feel like I have more thoughts on this but I’m running late… what do you think of laying it all out on the table on social media sites? Do you think there’s something to the social media design trend? Would you wear twitter earrings?
