Not long ago I was at my favorite little coffee shop when I ran into an adorable hipster (skinny man, skinny jeans, multiple piercings, crazy, curly hair, glasses, long-forgotten-under-appreciated band t-shirt) with a math equation tattooed on his arm and neck and said hello. (Caveat: I love hipsters.* Their desire to be ironic, which ironically makes them unironic, and in fact a very homogenous little group means that they very thing they try to avoid, they are. A hipster will never admit he’s a hipster and such denial, is actually mark of a true hipster, which is why I love them). Ahem, anyway…
This very cute hipster guy says hello and we started chatting. I asked him about his tattoo… because… why else would you have a giant math-equation tattoo stretching from your forearm to your neck unless you wanted people to ask about it? He got very serious and told me that it was far to complicated to explain in a little coffee shop, in passing. Oh cute hipster buy… what secrets do your arm and neck hold? Maybe we should discuss one day over a PBR…
