By the end of this week I will: Pick contest winners (enter here and here), write more posts, clear the 3 foot pile of stuff off my desk at work, find time to write at BPL, and find my way back to the land of stars and bars… Talk about going from 0 (warm hot sunny days on the beach) to 60 (cramming 6 days of work into 4)!
Overly ambitious? Wishful thinking?
Speaking of wishful thinking… I would love an occasion to wear one of these gorgeous designs by kimberit….
About:
The movement is the relationship between body and outer layer. This interdependence of body, movement, material and shape is the focus of this kimberit collection. In water everything has continual motion. The inspiration for organic forms, flowing material and pastel tones come from nature and the ocean world. The goal was to explore the influencing variables of movement, developing garments with different rhythm and effects, as rebound-, nod- and float-effect. The sculptural dresses of silk chiffon are created from one piece of fabric by using the draping method. Thus having only a few seams which dynamically develops ‘a life of its own’ in harmony with the wearer’s movement.
