With Fashion Week(s) right around the corner, my inbox and schedule are buzzing with activity! I know I’ve said it before, but FW is seriously the only thing that gets me through the fall. That quote by Camus at the top of my website? Totally don’t believe it, but the hope is if I look at it long enough the sentiment will start to sink in!
Today’s designer is the talented Greta Pollman from Romania. In her own words:
My experience as an artist and my love of nature provide an inexhaustible source of imagery that can be transformed into fashion designs. I like taking on the ancient technique of pattern making by matching or combining different fabrics such as cotton, linen and silk with luxury, natural fabrics like merino, cashmere, silk fibers and by using in my creations as many natural and organic fabrics as possible so that you get something really fresh and unique.
Being addicted to sports, my creations are highly wearable while also retaining a young and dreamy look for a very chic, smart, contemporary collection.
My training is in Fine Arts, Sculpture and Graphics and having previously worked in the mainstream fashion industry I have now escaped into the freedom of my own brand where I can carefully select the exact fabrics for every piece so that the design intention is conveyed at its fullest.
