(Pick a) Stop and Shop!

I know the whole food-truck/ clothing-truck/ truck-shop thing has been around for a while… but I have to say, I am still loving the idea and still get kind of excited every time I see one.
My obsession with this whole concept began in college with the infamous Silver Truck… if you ever visited the Brown/ RISD area late-night, you know what I’m talking about… the old-school silver van that no one ever really saw coming or going (I think it was actually bad luck to see it in transit) but always happened to be there at 3am with a mouth-watering steak, egg and cheese. (Insert nostalgic flashback).
FFWD to 2010 and my neighbor’s dream of opening his own food truck (I still think he should) which sparked late night conversations about the wonders of mobile commerce… and now there are all these clothing store vans, buses (personally, I think the buses are the coolest), etc. I actually saw one once in NYC a few years ago but, based on the tenor of that evening, I wasn’t quite sure if what I was seeing was real… Could it be? Louboutin on wheels?

Now they’re everywhere! There was even a Fashion Truck Rally out in LA last month.
