I have been a wee bit self-absorbed and sidetracked the past few days… but with all of the FW web coverage, I’m sure you’ve been sufficiently bombarded with the latest trends. It’s always an odd time of year to write about fashion because, on the one hand, it’s fashion week. NY, London, South Africa… everywhere. Designs are being presented, ogled, and modified by mainstream brands for mass consumption by the second. On the other hand, everyone is covering fashion week and it all gets kind of boring and redundant. I have always taken this time to refocus on my own creative endeavors . . . its like a mini vacation where I can sit back, enjoy the fashion, and hope that other people’s creativity sparks a little bit of mine.
