Beach Day!

Okay, so none of my bathing suits are quite as fierce as these incredible pieces by Irene Pascoe… but that’s probably because even on my flattest abs, just-got-back-from-a-5-mile-run days, I still couldn’t pull something like this off. Nevertheless, I absolutely love these swimsuits. The bottom one kind of reminds me of Milla Jovovich’s outfit in the 5th Element, which still might be my favorite movie of all time (insert rolled eyes and groans from my friends).

Irene is a Fashion Graduate who specialized in Swimwear Design for her final year and Graduate Collection. Irene used the latest technologies in swimwear design and construction at Linea Aqua Swimwear Factory in Sri Lanka, where she was sponsored to design and produce a swimwear collection for showcasing at the SLDF (Sri Lanka Design Festival) Fashion Shows. Many skills were gained when she worked for luxury fashion designers Collado Garcia, London. She has also worked on photo shoots, assisted with styling and back stage production for international fashion shows.

Irene’s inspiration for swimwear design began when she lived the beach side lifestyle along Cornwall’s beautiful coastlines.  Irene is now based in London and combines both worlds of seaside and cosmopolitan city life in her designs.
