I love the clean crisp lines and graffiti-like graphics in Lucas Nascimento’s FW12 collection. One of my favorite things in fashion (and life, actually) is taking two things that don’t necessarily belong together and fusing them into something that works. I think there’s a word for that, but I haven’t had coffee yet so it’s not coming to me… sort of like the opposite of cognitive dissonance… Anyway, in my mind graffiti and couture are a mismatch made in design heaven. Love it.

Following a Bachelors Degree at London College of Fashion in Fashion Design for Knitwear, Lucas Nascimento worked as a freelance consultant for a variety of clients including Ellus Brazil, Basso & Brooke, Ghetz and Ports 1961 before setting up his own label in 2009.
After a succession of shows at Rio Fashion Week, the label exhibited its Spring/Summer 2012 collection as part of London Fashion Week for the first time in September 2011.
Collections have featured in Vogue UK & Brasil, ELLE, Dazed Digital, 125 Magazine and AnOther, amongst others.
He presented his Autumn/Winter 2012 collection during London Fashion Week in February 2012.
