Football and Fashion Week… it doesn’t get much better than this, entertainment-wise! Be sure to check out the live stream of NYFW on the sidebar (Carolina Herrera will be presenting at 10am) as well highlights from past shows. I could go on and on about the different shows, blog about my favorite things and dissect spring SS13 BUT… (1) everyone else is doing that so you certainly don’t need me and (2) you are smart enough to form your own opinions about what’s coming down the catwalk. I trust your judgement.
I thought I’d start the week off with a creative emerging designer, Tabitha Osler of the Antwerp Fashion Academy. I like her use of quilting. Very unique indeed. Check out her website and her profile on MUUSE where you can purchase limited edition pieces. I’m loving the Lettuce Silk Blouse. More about the designer:
Tabitha Osler’s designs represent nature and how it is related to the notions of the sublime. Her unique approach to materials draws poetic parallels between the practical role they play in their natural environment and the decline of the world they exist in. She draws inspiration from the aesthetic impressions in her life and uses intuition to express her vision. As one of the graduates of Antwerp Fashion Academy she participated in the SHOW2012.
