My favorite shoe designer (is that a thing? shoe-designer? Is there a  more technical term? A cobbler fixes, but doesn’t make, shoes right?)  is at it again, this time with a stunning pre-fall collection. I always get compliments when I wear CS. View the entire collection on her site.

Off to work early for what looks to be another way-too-many-things-scheduled week. At least I have boxing to relieve the stress!

I have to say, this was a much needed long weekend. Friends, Gym, Leisure. . . downtime to actually read a book… it was perfect. I’ve also been messing around a bit with different WordPress themes. Themes are kind of like outfits… even if you have a favorite, it’s nice to switch things up every now and then. Anyway, please let me know what you think.

What better way to launch a new design than with my weakness: a great pair of shoes. I love these creative kicks from designer Anastasia Radevich whom I discovered on TrendLand (which also has a nice new design). I am obsessed with the “destroy” booties.

You already know I heart IVH, but these shoes take it to a whole other level… love them! Iris collaborated with United Nude to create these awesome “Fang” shoes. From UN:

Models stepped out in “Fang” shoes with ten sharp teeth to each foot – the product of van Herpen’s fifth successful collaboration with United Nude. The shape of the wedge is so complex that each one consists of fiberglass and carbon fiber, made in a slow molding process. It is not yet certain whether these shoes will come to market as a limited edition, as was the case with previous Iris van Herpen x United Nude designs, but it is worth keeping an eye out for them.

I sooooooo need a vacation. Sun, sand, an extra salty margarita, and these shoes by London College of Fashion Student Vivian Ying. I absolutely love these designs…  definitely one to watch!

This is always a rough time of year for me because I absolutely love the sun… and each day it sets just a little bit earlier.
I swear it was dark by 3:30pm yesterday! Maybe I need those seasonal effective light-earphone things? A trip to Miami perhaps?

Anyway, aside from my ever-cheering-me-up friends, I also enjoy immersing myself in the arts around this time of year. A class here, an exhibition there, and oh yeah, and great shoes.

These awesome heels are the brainchild of Pablo Reinoso. Known for his extensive use and manipulation of the thonet bentwood chair, this argentinian-born paris-based designer applied his craft to a mini-collection of creative kicks. More about Pablo here.
