Quality, not quantity. Timeless, not trendy.
Every time I introduce something into my life, whether it be a piece of clothing, a handbag, a hobby, or even an individual (right? at least to some extent)… I ask myself, is this quality? Is this lasting? Is this a cheap thrill or an investment in something meaningful?
When you give a gift, the same principles apply. I’m not going to bombard you with tons of holiday shopping ideas, but when I see a good one, I will be sure to pass it along.
Of course, I had to share the beautiful, and super reasonably priced leather goods from Forty Knots No Smoke.
Forty Knots No Smoke was founded in Brooklyn, N.Y. and uses age-old techniques, natural finishes, and the finest quality materials available, to make their gorgeous handcrafted bags. Their pieces are functional, well-constructed, and timeless.
Their hand crafted bags will cost you about $350- amazing, considering unoriginal mass-produced bags from your favorite magazine brands are about the same price. However, unlike today’s “it bag” that will be tired by this time next year, these classic designs are timeless. Translation: you’ll have and want to carry forever.
