Super tired. Need vacation. Preferably with beach. And delicious fruity drinks.
While I daydream about sipping away my worries in a warm tropical sun, here is some sexy (yet comfy) lingerie by UNDREST. designer Maria Paz Navales…

Maria, who is the designer, founder and CEO of the brand, created UNDREST. to translate her love of fine fabrics into a brand meant to dress the whimsical girl in all of us. Her collections take inspiration from the places she loves most…Paris, Brazil, and Los Angeles. She is a true artist at heart and incorporates this with her love for the art of business. She photographs, designs, and creative directs the entire brand and is on site daily in the atelier working hand in hand with her team of patternmakers, seamstresses and production sewers to bring her visions to life.

I lover her designs, especially the halter bralette… how cute! Shop online or  stop by the pop-up shop on Robertson Blvd. if you’re in the area.

I need a new song/artist to inspire… any suggestions?

What I’d really like to do is get all cozy in one of these adorable sets, pour another cup of coffee, and read in bed all day. Alas, the real world is calling . . . Anyway, I thought you’d enjoy Naomi’s warm, cozy and thoughtful collection. Stop by her Etsy site and be sure to check her blog for updates. She also does custom orders!

Check out Frou Frou Fashionista for more great lingerie finds!

Grovel for Gravel

by urbansocialite on October 28, 2008

For whatever reason I could NOT sleep last night… I always get a little cabid-feversih this time of year….
Hence the 2am phone conversations/ emails about capitalism, physics and the American Dream…

Anyway,  I’m ready to pack my pink and green suitcase and jet off somewhere without explanation. One place that’s always fun to visit (and that a group of us is considering,) is Montreal. If you happen to be there or happen to be going there, be sure to check out one of Quebec’s hottest young designers, Eve Gravel.

Her designs are fun, flirty, with a kind of refined edge. I love stuff that can go from the office to a night out without much fuss…
You can buy her stuff at one of my favorite online shops, Mudshark (I wrote about them a while back).

Anyway I would write more, but her clothes speak for themselves and seeing as I’m dealing with a random bout of insomnia I am somewhat dragging and need to figure out all that is today.

Elsie’s Secret

Victoria’s Secret just doesn’t do it for me… I mean as much as I enjoy their marketing, the actual products just don’t impress. The bras are fine, but not worth $48. Their undies are cute, but not amazing. That’s why I love Elsie’s custom line On The Inside. She makes everything to order, which means each piece is made just for you! No longer do you have pick between sizes that almost fit … she’ll custom tailor whatever you order to fit perfectly. Her designs are lacy, beautiful, and super comfy (just check out the feedback from her customers). The best part (yes, there’s always a best part), her bras go for around $30!

Baby got (padded) back

by urbansocialite on April 8, 2008

I told my co-workers I’m trying to keep my sense of humor this week. Along those lines, this post is for Alana.
I told you they make booty underwear. In all honesty, there’s so much I could say about this, I’m speechless. (For some interesting perspectives see Butt Seriously, The Rebirth of the Booty, etc.). Anyway, here’s the skinny (that’s the wrong word, isn’t it?) from Booty Pop:

“More women than ever are wanting the perfect behind - shapely, round and lifted. It is no longer about making the behind disappear. The attention that behinds are getting is due in large part to celebrities like Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Biel who confidently strut their full behinds.

Booty Pop is the first hip and trendy padded panties to hit the retail market. No cosmetic surgery necessary! In the same way enhance themselves with their fashionable padded bras, now Booty Pop is available as the panties that make you Booty Pop!”

So if you’re looking to enhance your natural assets… (come on, it was too easy)… here you go.
