I don’t have many weaknesses, and the few I have don’t generally have anything to do with Boston… except for this tiny space on Salem Street in the North End which houses two of my Boston favorites: Acquire and Neptune Oyster House. Just a door apart, these two places are seriously little slices of culinary and consumer heaven!

Acquire occupies a tiny space, but it’s certainly not small on beautiful design. I literally want everything in the store. A few months ago I stopped there on a whim and found a stunning Taxco Silver antique bracelet that I haven’t taken off since. They also have these really pretty vintage batik bangles (that look like these) that I’m obsessed with. The coolest thing about the store, besides the oh-so-accommodating Nikki Dalrymple, is the juxtaposition of old a new, expensive and inexpensive, practical and impractical (impractical, yet, still highly desirable!)   You definitely have to check this adorable boutique out if you’re anywhere near the Boston area. It reminds me of home!

While you’re on Salem, you have to stop by Neptune Oyster House. The lobster rolls are heaven on a platter (with equally as impressive fries) and their Neptune Burger with a fried oyster is out of this world. They have a great selection of wines and oysters and I’m particularity found of the ambiance (the tiled floors always make me smile for some reason). My lunch breaks are like mini-vacations from my day, and I can honestly say some of my all time favorite lunch/vacations have been spent at Neptunes, devouring lobster rolls (Tez swears by the hot but I am partial to the cold) and talking about life y alma gemelas.

Today was a series of wins and losses, but my trip to the North End sealed the deal.

Day:L  Me:W. Yup. I just did that.
